A TAXONOMIC STUDY ON EGYPTIAN SPECIES OF GENUS HEDYCHRUM LATREILLE (HYMENOPTERA, CHRYSIDODAE, CHRYSININAE)

The Chrysididae are a group of cleptoparasitic and parasitoid aculeate wasps. This study presents a comprehensive dichotomous key side by side with description and synonyms for five species belong to genus Hedychrum Latreille found in Egypt. The study based upon materials which has been collected almost throughout the country, but also includes museum material. In addition, the diagnostic characters and a key for tribes of subfamily Chrysidinae are presented. Nomenclatorial changes were carried out for one species.
