Department of Anatomy - Faculty of Medicine- 6 October University
From ancient times, anatomy has been one of the major basic medical sciences. However, the use in cadavers in teaching anatomy has always been an ethical obstacle. The present work aimed to develop a new method which may be an adjuvant technique in the science of anatomy, and may be also used in other medical and non medical sciences. 691 students of Faculty of physical therapy were divided into 23 groups, aiming to produce anatomy based educational illuminated plates. 19 groups (82.6%) succeeded to deliver the projects. The projects were used in revision, self learning as well as a teaching method. The students also gained the skills of team working, coordination and leadership. At the same time this technique bypassed the dilemma of the use of cadavers.
